THE TIMELESS CHORE JACKET

Classic Shape, Artisan Soul

A timeless classic inspired by the traditional workwear jacket silhouette, reimagined with a distinctive twist.

The deep blue outer layer honors the workwear roots of this garment, while the inner lining tells a richer story: a vintage Kantha quilt featuring Ajrak block print, a traditional Indian technique known for its intricate geometric and floral patterns, hand-stamped using carved wooden blocks.

Each jacket is one-of-a-kind, crafted from repurposed textiles using slow, artisanal techniques — where heritage meets contemporary style.

The Rhythm of Ancient Prints

Ajrakh is a centuries-old block printing tradition, rooted in the Indus Valley civilization  (2500–1500 BCE) and carried forward by skilled artisans across generations.

Recognized by its rich crimson reds and deep indigo blues, Ajrakh textiles are adorned with intricate, symmetrical patterns and delicate white motifs that shimmer between the prints.

Each piece is created through a slow, meditative process using hand-carved wooden blocks and natural dyes. The art of Ajrakh is not just visual—it is rhythmic, geometric, and deeply symbolic, reflecting the harmony between nature, craft, and culture.
